Mizuho Sato

Mizuho : born in Iwate, Japan, where she began to study ballet at the age of five. She quickly became an award winner of balletic competitions in Japan. In 1995 she went to England to further strengthen her dance skills of clasical ballet, comtemporary, and character dances, and in 1996, was introduced to flamenco by Yuko Okano and decided to take this art form very seriously. 1997 took her to Sevilla, Spain where she studied with Havier Cruz, Alicia Marque?Ls, and Maria del Mar Berlanga. On returning to Japan, she begun performing in Tokyo's inportant Tablaos.

In 2000 Mizuho won Japan's most important flamenco competition, sponsored by the Japanese Flamenco Union.

In Japan she kept studying from Adrian Galia, Juan Andres Maya, and various artists from Spain. She subsequently returned to Spain to study with Cristobal Reyes, La China, and Manuel Riñan in Madrid.

She started teaching in Tokyo and Iwate. In iwate, she performed in the tour of Manuel Reyes Company.

In 2003 she moved to Los Angeles and joined Jose Tanaka's Soniquete Flamenco, where she shares her talent as both dancer and choreographer. Mizuho performs reguraly with his group through out Southern California. She is strating to teach classes of flamenco and ballet.
